Sign-on & Longevity Bonuses
We currently have a sign-on bonus for full-time positions. Annually CLA embarks on a bonus campaign that is based on our employees’ years of service at the organization. The amount of the bonus increases with your years of service.

Referral bonuses for staff who refer a successful candidate
CLA staff are eligible for a bonus when they refer a candidate to a full-time position. If that candidate comes on board and stays at CLA for 9 months; the referring employee receives a bonus.

We offer Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance to all full-time employees after 90 days. With our Center’s for Excellence program; many tests and procedures can be free with no co-pay or coinsurance.

Flexible Spending Accounts
CLA staff are eligible to participate in the Flexible Spending Account whether they join CLA’s Medical and Dental insurance or are insured through a spouse or parent.

Cash in Lieu of CLA Group Medical Coverage
CLA reimburses employees who are eligible to join the Medical and Dental plan, but chose to be insured through another plan (typically a spouse’s or parent’s plan)

Employees begin earning Paid Time Off (EBT) starting on their first day of employment. This accrual amount increases with each year of service

What does a Direct Support Professional (DSP) do?

At CLA, our DSPs assist individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their best lives at home, at work, or in the community. DSP work can include assistance with education, home care, basic health and hygiene, personal care, transportation, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation, or simply helping people integrate into their local community.
Medication Management
Medication management and administration is a function of our Direct Support Professionals. CLA will provide paid training for our employees to become Certified Direct Support Professionals (with the College of Direct Support) and Certified Residential Medication Aids (CRMA) with the State of Maine.
What to expect?
Depending on the support needed, DSPs may work in a person’s home, at a group home, at a day habilitation center, or out in the community. Your day, evening, or overnight may include outings, cooking, cleaning, documentation and many other activities with the individuals we serve.

CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS
Assisted Living Home Manager – Joseph Street
CLA has an opening for an Assisted Living Manager for our Joseph Street Home. The person in this role will assist in managing a home for people with intellectual disabilities. This person will supervise direct care staff; schedule staff coverage and training; transport clients, coordinate and attend client appointments, pass medications, develop service plans; provide direct care, maintain accurate progress notes, records, and reports; purchase and order home needs. Successful candidates must be flexible with open availability to staff at home; periodically cover evening or night shifts to supervise and train staff or fill in shifts when needed. This is a Full-time, 40-hour-per-week salaried position and requires availability for On Call coverage.
Qualifications:
Previous supervision experience is preferred, or a relevant combination of education and experience is preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities is required. Must possess a GED/High School Diploma and a valid clean Maine driver’s license. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written; be detail-oriented with experience working with various computer programs and software.

Per-Diem RN or LPN
CLA’s Harmony Nursing Home has a per-diem opening for an LPN or RN.Harmony House is a 12 12-bed nursing Home and has a very low staff-to-consumer ratio. CLA’s Harmony is for you if you are looking for a great per-diem job. Per-Diem openings are for any shift, and you choose what days/shifts you are available for.

CLA’s Joesph Street Assisted Living Home has a Direct Support Professional (DSP) opening for the Evening shift. This is a full-time position with an expected schedule of 6am-9am and 1pm-8pm. Every other weekend 10am-4pm. This is a 28-hour-per-week schedule and includes full-time benefits.
