What does a Direct Support Professional (DSP) do?
Looking to get started?

DSP work can include assistance with education, home care, basic health and hygiene, personal care, transportation, housing, vocational training, rehabilitation, or simply helping people integrate into their local community.
Medication Management
Medication management and administration is a function of our Direct Support Professionals. CLA will provide paid training for our employees to become Certified Direct Support Professionals (with the College of Direct Support) and Certified Residential Medication Aids (CRMA) with the State of Maine.
What to expect?
Depending on the support needed, DSPs may work in a person’s home, at a group home, at a day habilitation center, or out in the community. Your day, evening, or overnight may include outings, cooking, cleaning, documentation and many other activities with the individuals we serve.
